This Saturday, June 11th we will be headlining the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, New York at 10pm. This a big celebration for the band for three reasons. First, it will be the Official Release Party for our Live Album "Live in Libya" (Download Cards will be available for Sale at the show - More info TBA). Secondly, its the final show for our fantastic friend and guitarist Erik Nyquist, who is moving out west this summer. Thirdly, this show marks the birthdays of Mark Allen (June 11), David Bunch (June 1), and Nick Picozzi (June 4). So come on out to the Knit Show and celebrate with us! Advanced Tix can be purchase here
Thanks to everyone that came out to the Highline Ballroom on Tuesday! It was a nasty, stormy night outside but we had a great time and were really excited to see so many of you out despite the elements. We've just received word that we'll be playing at the Bowery Electric on Thursday April 28th as part of the Re-Think Pop Music series. You know the drill. We'll see you there!
The Highline Ballroom show has been set for April 12th. We're looking forward to a great night and hope you will join us while we play at this killer venue! We'll also be at Fontana's in the lower east side next Thursday. Both shows will start around 9pm. Be sure to check out the new recording of "Get Out" on this very site under the music tab. It's from a an enormous stadium show we did in a certain country in northern Africa. The people there needed to rock a little!
Things are really starting to roll as we have several shows lined up and more to follow. We went to York PA last week and recorded everything in the canon. Every. Last. Song. With the help of our new friend and sound engineer Todd Eckhart we feel that we've got a great live record for you and we're looking forward to releasing it for your consumption. Expect it and the very long awaited EP "No Sign of Headlights" to be available on itunes and various other locations soon. And by soon we really mean it this time.
The video for Broken is currently in production with many of the scenes already shot. Next week the four of us will be traveling to PA to record a live album with some things you've already heard and some you haven't. We've also just learned that we'll be playing The Highline Ballroom in April. We'd love to see you come out for the show. Time and Date TBD. Not only will it be a great time but just by showing up you could get the chance to be in our video currently in production!
We are on the hunt for a filmmaker to produce the music video for our new single off our EP "No Sign of Headlights". Get in touch with us if you know someone suitable for the job.
Merry Christmas friends. Its been awhile since our last update on this official site, we've been keeping the facebook and twitter nice and updated though. Just to recap what's happened these past few months in a nutshell ... We played a supported slot for the UK band Erland & The Carnival (with Simon Tong of The Verve, Gorillaz, Blur) at Rock Shop in Brooklyn.... and we rocked two festival gigs, Dewey Beach Conference in Delaware & Meany Fest at Fontana's. Sprinkle in some random NYC/Brooklyn gigs and there you have Fugitive's fall season.
Headed down to the Dewey Beach Festival tomorrow in Deleware. It should be a good time!
Thanks to everyone who came out last night at The Red and The Black! We had a great time! Also check out our myspace to hear our newest single, "Perfect Circles".http://www.myspace.com/fugitivesouls
This Saturday night we'll be in Washington DC at a venue we are particularly fond of,The Red and The Black on H Street.www.redandblackbar.com. If you're in DC and you want a guaranteed good time then you should definitely come out! More shows's to come this month in Dewey Beach Delaware and of course, the LES.

Wow! We have a lot of things happening in the next few months. First we're nearing completion of our new EP. We know you want to hear some new music and before you know it, you will. Also on July 16th Fugitive Souls will be playing the venue where it all started. Come out and see us at Piano's. There are new songs to hear, some cool visuals, and maybe a cover? On August 12 we will join Man On Earth, Mike Del Rio, Blackbells, Atomic Tom, and ?uestlove at Brooklyn Bowl. There is a lot more to to tell you about very soon. So stay tuned, drop us a line, come out to a show and we'll see on the other side.
It's been a busy month! We have been finishing up recording some new songs we hope you'll dig. There are also some new t-shirt designs in the works that we will offer for sale on this website and at our shows in the near future. And speaking of shows, on Saturday May 22 we will be playing at one of our favorite L.E.S. venues, The Delancey (168 Delancey between Clinton and Attorney) www.thedelancey.com. Get there around 10:00 or so. And who knows, maybe we'll play a brand new song or two. Can't wait to see you there.
Spring is finally here. Just wanted to update you on how the new material is coming along. We are almost finished tracking the new tunes. Titles include "Golden Dagger", "Perfect Circles", "Mercury Rising", "No Sign Of Headlights", "Pretty (On The Inside)", and "Broken". We'll also be playing some shows soon beginning with Carlisle, PA with Drink Up Buttercup. Check out our Shows page for more details.
Hey Everyone!!! It's a new year and we're gearing up for a lot of really fun things on the horizon. We'll be spending the next few months writing and recording some new material and will also be playing a few shows when we can get away from the studio. Stay tuned.
We are officially less than one week away from the first date of our residency at The Studio at Webster Hall. Looking forward to our video collaboration with director John Carlucci (www.uglyghost.com) at both shows. He'll be handling the visuals. We'll also be playing some new material at both residency shows, so we hope we don't screw up the new ones too badly ;)
Seeing as this is Fugitive Souls first year out there gigging, we're very pleased to say that we're playing a killer CMJ party on Wednesday, October 21st at Union Pool in Brooklyn with the likes of Cale Parks, Takka Takka, Little Girls, Infernal Devices, X Wife, and Lemonade. Its going to be a $7 cover charge, but free with CMJ Badges. If this is anything like past CMJ's at Union Pool I've been to... watch out!! Muchhhh alcohol will be consumed.
In anticipation of our October music issue, New York Press is allowing readers to vote for their favorite local band for the their NY Press "New Music Competition". Please visit www.nypress.com for more details about the voting. Thanks to all those who have voted for us so far!!!
We had an absolute blast playing at the Blender Theater last night. Special thanks to the production staff at Blender for kicking so much ass and helping us every step of the way. And another special thanks to the drummer of Future Future for helping us when we were in a bind during soundcheck. Gracias amigo. Here are some pics from the show.
Tonight we are playing a show sponsored by Village Voice and WRXP 101.9 at the Blender Theater at Gramercy. The venue is located at 127 East 23rd Street in Gramercy Park. www.blendertheater.com. Tickets are available on the Live Nation official website. We are also giving away free tickets so email us for the details.
Great times last night at Mercury Lounge. Check out some of the pics below.
This Sunday we celebrate the release of our debut, self released EP entitled, "Strangers", with a show at the Mercury Lounge. The EP will be sold digitally through Tunecore, iTunes, Napster, Amazon, and more. The track listing includes songs like "Get Out", "Pinocchio", "Hang On", "A Secret Weighs A Ton", "Frames", and "Wasted". We will be giving away free copies of the EP at the show. Also performing are Howlies and Band of Thieves.
So we took the Fugitive Souls show on the road down to Delaware and Washington DC and lived to tell about it. We didn't exactly find everything we were looking for in Delaware, but Mojo 13 was a pretty sweet place to play. The Lister family was super cool giving us a place to crash and hang in Virginia for our quick stay for the DC show. The actual club Asylum isn't too wonderful, but, ya gotta love the vibe in Adams Morgan. There are literally tons of folks just streaming the sidewalks everywhere you turn. Kinda reminds me of the Lower East Side in NYC, but less gritty n shitty.
Happy 4th Everyone!
So... ummm... we played in Passaic, New Jersey at the Loop Lounge last night.... it was kinda great and terrible all at the same time. I think that's all I have to say on the topic of Jersey. Moving on...
Last night we played our debut performance for a sold out crowd at Piano's on the lower east side. We are truly humbled by all of our friends and (future, hopefully) fans coming out and supporting us last night!!!! Mean Creek, You Can Be A Wesley, and Hot Protestant played some brilliant sets before we went on. Also special thanks for Steve at Teknique Media in Tampa for all your help on the video end. Looking forward to many many more gigs to come!
